November, 2009. "The Homestead" Wins Golden Tripod
Congratulations to Nic Gribben for his
success at the Australian Cinematographers Society on
Saturday night. Nic won a Golden Tripod in the
Experimental category for "The Homestead", which he also
directed and wrote.
"The Homestead" is a very short
film about the origins of Jeff’s art, the lifting of the
original homestead. In the film, many of you will be able to
identify the model of the house which Jeff handcrafted over
10 years ago – it has during all these years been displayed
in our gallery.
"The Homestead" was also
nominated in the Best Animation category at the 2009
Queensland New Filmmaker Awards.
Thank you, Nic for all of your
talented work and efforts on "The Homestead".

Jeff
Gilberthorpe - Recent Activities
Jeff left the Australian shores in September 2008 and has
meanwhile settled in the UK where he continues to paint a
number of private commissions for our clients. His latest
completed commission painting is of the Homestead flying
over a typical Australian Boab tree.
The newest limited edition print release of the London
tryptich has now been completed, and the original
painting is currently still on show at CreaTechArt Studio &
Gallery in Surfers Paradise.
Check out our
New
Releases section for the latest updates.
Hand
Embellishments
A phenomenon has been the hand embellished
prints which have been very well received by collectors and
visitors to the gallery. Ask us about putting yourself or
your business in the pictures with our unique embellishment
service. A separate section will display a
variety of prints showing our collectors in sometimes
outrageous adventures.
Still Missing In
Action!!
You
might remember that one
of the valuable original paintings from the Icon Collection has gone
missing. We have alerted the relevant authorities who are
now making
enquiries. However, the painting is still missing!
